Suffering

After 8 years of consistently excellent performance, my computer was caught in some kind of devastating Sleeper Hold about a week ago and was forced to submit.   And yes, I tried turning it off and turning it back on, and even the more drastic measure of unplugging it for 20 minutes, but to no avail. Recovery disks and loading from archived back-ups have not succeeded.

I can’t do what I do on my tablet (even typing this brief note is annoying) so let me apologize for the technical difficulties and announce that Wrestling Arsenal will not be updated for a time   Feel free to check out my old archives and and stay tuned, wrestling fans…

So sorry to hear about this. What a pain.

I can empathize on the updates. I use Blogger and it is not iPad-friendly, either. I always have to do my posts on my 10-year old iMac. Apple is using forced obsolescence to get me to upgrade, but it still runs great. However, the clock is obviously ticking to where I’ll have to post something similar on my blogs.

    Guy,
Good luck in this mess. I know the issues involved when ones system is under attack….NOT fun. Will be waiting patiently ( ????? ) for a future post. Be Well Guy !

What a shame! I hope you’ll be able to recover your files. We’ll be patiently awaiting as your fans.

“One!” As the referee begins his count, the crowd freezes in silent suspense, practically frenzied with nerves and anticipation. “Two!” Sweat-soaked, bloodied, and unable to muster nary a single breath, Arsenal lies immobile. “On–…” The crowd thunders with stunned disbelief! Arsenal breaks free, ready to conquer the ruthless heel.

    Down, but not out!

  7. Awf. That’s never fun, sorry to hear it. :\ I’m pretty tech-savvy and have been building my own computers for years now, but when things go wrong, it can be a very taxing frustration.

Best of luck in getting things back up to speed, man.

I’m an IT guy and I can recommend Geek Squad at Best Buy. In my experience, they’re competent and reasonably priced.

    Good luck!

Was getting a tad bit worried from a full week without updates. Glad to hear it’s only a computer problem and not something more serious. I hope you’re not away for too long, but I totally understand that these things can take some time. The archives are so deep that I’m sure we’ll be able to keep ourselves occupied 🙂
