The War on Baby-Faces

This article is meant to raise awareness about a very serious assault on a vulnerable class of people.  It is becoming more obvious every day that certain wrestlers are having their rights and freedoms taken away, are being sneak attacked, and are facing slanted policies that makes it more difficult for them to thrive.  I am hereby accusing the leaders of pro wrestling federations around the world of declaring a War on Baby-Faces.

Surely you’ve noticed that the more handsome, more scantily-clad wrestlers are generally locked in painful holds more often and for longer periods of time.  There is no denying that fan-favorites are being punished for their popularity by being roughed up, brutalized, and mercilessly tortured while the officials stand back and allow it to continue.

If you measured the time that each wrestler is in charge during a typical bout, you will see that the Baby-Face wrestler is in a state of helpless suffering for well over 50% of the match.   This staggering statistic is proof enough of the War on Baby-Faces, because one would expect a more equal outcome.  The low percentage of Baby-Face domination time is evidence of an unfair bias against the popular wrestlers!

The acceptance of cheating is further evidence of the War on Baby-Faces.  Very little is being done to stop dirty wrestlers from biting, pulling hair, or kicking below the belt.  The innocent Baby-Face never uses these illegal tactics to get ahead, so the cheaters gain an unfair advantage by having dirty moves in their arsenal.

Rather than enforcing the rules to prevent these unfair and under-handed tactics, the refs often ignore the violation, look the other way, or pretend to be distracted.  Clearly a policy is in place to ignore rule violations.

I’ve actually seen forced unmasking and/or de-pantsing of Baby-Faces, attacking before or after the bell, and even double- and triple-teaming efforts.  The blatant disregard for the rules and regulations, and the lack of common human decency, is out of control in the ring!

Pro wrestling federations should be required to immediately provide multiple officials watching for cheating, and they should use Instant Replay technology, which is now readily available and inexpensive, to catch all rule violations.  Each ref should carry a Stun-Gun or mace in order to quickly subdue any rule-breaker who refuses to stop.

Failure to enact these changes immediately to protect the Baby-Face wrestlers from harm will be considered further evidence of the War on Baby-Faces.

A wrestler can’t help that he was born with an attractive look, that his actions happen to inspire crowds of people to like him.  He should not be discriminated against or punished for his choice of bright, flamboyant clothing, nor for his decision to work out, get in shape, and proudly display his physique.  Under the current policies, Baby-Face wrestlers are being abused and even tortured for their looks and clothing.

The Baby-Face is at his most vulnerable at the moment of the Pinfall, when his body is exhausted and his arms and legs are limp.  Some wrestlers are using this opportunity to sexually assault the victim, to press against him, expose his groin by spreading apart his legs, or placing him in a sexually suggestive position.  This is akin to rape and it should not be tolerated.

Why haven’t the powers-that-be established boundaries on the winning wrestler to prevent him from humiliating his helpless opponent?  I will tell you why — because a War on Baby-Faces is happening right before our eyes, a plot to degrade, subjugate, intimidate, and dominate the attractive and popular wrestlers.

Wrestling fans need to join together to put a stop to this unfair discrimination.  We need to write letters to the government that we want laws in place requiring unbiased, non-hostile working environments for all wrestlers (including the really cute ones.)

We need to boycott any and all wrestling federations that allow foreign objects, double-teaming, brutal finishing holds, stripping of gear, and other tactics meant to humiliate Baby-Face wrestlers.  If you see cheating that is not stopped quickly enough, change the channel, throw away the DVD, and refuse to support this brutality with your dollars and cents.

Together we can stop this War on Baby-Faces!  Who is with me??

Who’s the hottie in the red trunks in the first pic? Would LOVE to see him in that pose, but in a skimpy speedo or thong instead!
