The Glorious Baby-Faces

On the 12/10/18 episode of RAW, we were treated to a newly formed Baby-Face Tag Team. “Glorious” Bobby Roode has partnered with Chad Gable, formerly of the American Alpha tag team.  To my delight, Gable has adopted his partner’s look, wearing what I assume is a hand-me-down robe and bulging blue trunks formerly worn by his new partner.  Damn, they look glorious as Book-End Partners in matching outfits!

Gable’s copying of Roode’s look gives their partnership a homo-erotic flavor, as if Gable noticed and enjoyed how Roode looked in his sequined blue spandex and wanted to look just like him.  And Roode said, here ya go, just wear a pair of mine.

Their opponents are the Authors of Pain whose manager, Drake Maverick, will also be wrestling in the match.

The Authors (plus one) enjoy their Three-On-Two advantage, soon over-powering and over-whelming pretty-boy Chad Gable.Gable portrays the role of wife and damsel in distress to Roode’s Dominant Rescuer persona.  Gable’s long hair, whipping and waving about as he is manhandled by the Heels, further feminizes him.

His hard body definitely has my full attention — I can’t believe they EVER covered up this masterpiece of a hunk in a singlet!  He suffers beautifully at the hands of AOP.

Gable’s punishment reminds me of the Pretty-Boy Tag Teams of the 1980s, when Tommy would be double-teamed and utterly molested by the Midnight Express while Bobby watched in impotent frustration in the far corner.

This is exactly the kind of pro wrestling that gets me off — a hunky team being completely over-whelmed and abused.  I am very pleased to see the WWE returning to these classic themes of Stud Suffering, Hard-Bodies on Display, and Unfair Torture.

My favorite part of this match is when the cruel and handsome little manager tags in for his team.

His thugs have already beaten Gable half to death, so this sadistic fucker just wants to get his licks in, finishing off the muscular whipping boy for his own twisted pleasure.

Gable is on his knees before the dominant little man, looking like a submissive wimp as Maverick kicks him in the face and grabs his chin and bitch-slaps him down.

How utterly humiliating and emasculating for the long-haired Baby, to be owned and dominated by this small fucker! Maverick is presented here as a  weak manager — not even as a wrestler (although I think he really is a pro wrestler, but he is not being presented as such, which makes it seem even more outrageous for Gable to be defeated by a non-fighter, like Superman being beaten by little Lex Luthor.)

Roode eventually tags in and the Authors kick his ass too.  Check out what Roode does here to sell this Back-Drop, arching his hips off the canvas as if his spine and ribs are shattered, his legs spread open, his bulge pointed toward the camera.

Some purists may argue that Roode has over-done it here, but it’s hot so I dig it.

Here is Roode taking his turn submitting himself to little Drake Maverick.  Why do these big, swole Hunks enjoy letting Maverick dominate them like this?  Is it because he’s so dashing looking?

Maverick tries to pin Roode, but Roode (who was playing possum) turns the tables and pins the wimp for the victory.  YES!

This means we will get to see more of Team Glorious and their fancy robes, more of Gable getting his muscular body stomped, more flexing and hugging by these hot looking partners.  It is nice and gay, I’ve missed having an impossibly good looking, well behaved, and well dressed Good Guy team to obsess over!

Chad Gable swapping his singlet for trunks is the best thing to happen in wrestling in a long time!

Chad Gable had always been one of those guys that I never paid much attention to because I’m not really into singlets and long hair. However, now that he’s sporting a robe and trunks matching Bobby Roode’s, I’ve completely come around on him. I’m finally appreciating him for the sexy stud that he is. There’s something so quintessentially “good guy” about crisp blue trunks with a guy’s first name printed on the crotch and his last name stamped on the ass. (This is possibly my favorite gear in the whole federation right now.) The second I saw Gable’s new gear, I immediately thought of your blog and the homosocial bond that we’re seeing blossom between these two dudes. I’m excited to see where this partnership goes. Now if only we could get Chad a haircut…
