Death By Elbow

Why have I never heard of nor written about this young lion on the Chaotic Wrestling roster: Mikey Webb?   I think he only recently adopted this classic 1980’s Baby-Face look that  I prefer, with the swole physique, bandana, and pastel pink trunks.

He recently delivered a great match at a Chaotic Wrestling event posted to their YouTube channel.  He portrayed the local hero, smiling and giving his fans High-Fives on his way to the ring, then presenting his buff bod up on the turnbuckles.

Mikey commits a gullible rookie error.

Mikey’s opponent, JT Dunn, is a fun little ass-kicker.  He used to partner with Chris Hero from whom he borrowed the manly long-hair-with-beard look and the penchant for wearing sexy, tight-ass little trunks.  He also learned Hero’s brutal Spinning Elbow Smash to the brain-stem move known as “Death by Elbow.”

Dunn is being a dickhead tonight to ensure we all fall in love with Mikey Webb (but trust me, that ship already sailed…)  Here Dunn offers a respectful handshake, then drills the dumb pretty-boy in the jaw with a sharp elbow.  This little attention-grabber foreshadows the Heel’s later usage of that elbow to really fuck up this white-booted fan favorite.

Dunn uses karate kicks to subdue the young hopeful.

JT Dunn dominates much of the match using the surprisingly brutal antics he learned from Chris Hero: lots of gut kicks, and stiff elbows to the chin, and big rib-crushing splashes off the top rope.

Dunn is one of those amazing Indy wrestling Super-heroes who really respects the craft, honing his aggressive offense to deliver tons of dangerous, deadly-looking moves.  You wonder sometimes how or why these studs endure such rough treatment for our viewing pleasure, and you kind of love them for it.

My favorite spot happened at 29:1o into the event video when Dunn had Webb in a kneeling position and proceeded to kick him in the chest.

To demonstrate his heroic resiliency and pain tolerance, Webb kneels there enduring the pain, just inviting Dunn to chest-kick him again and again!!  Each blow rocks him to his core, but Webb takes it like a man.

Never stick out your tongue when he’s got you on your knees.

The scene evokes S & M play with Webb kneeling submissively, his arms at his sides, willfully presenting his body for Dunn’s abuse.  And sadistic Dunn is more than happy to play along, brutally kicking the chesty show-off just as often as he wants it.

Check out the chemistry between these well-trained performers, with Webb arrogantly showing off his superior body while Dunn pauses to think: “OK tough guy, you want another one?!  Here goes…”

Are you fuckin serious right now?!?

The bumps these studs endure in this match (in all their matches) are just incredible.  The creativity and excitement seen in these top-notch Indy feds is much superior to the mainstream product.

Here Webb is draped over the hard metal railing at ringside as Dunn leaps off the apron like Tarzan to slam a Guillotine Leg-Drop to the back of his neck.  WHOA, don’t you dare kill my Mikey!

Two can play the brutal punishment game.

Mikey Webb gets his licks in periodically as well, suddenly finding the strength to bust out a surprisingly vicious Pile-Driver or Power-Slam which stun JT Dunn. Don’t mistake Mikey Webb for a non-aggressive rookie jobber:  this stud may be as gorgeous as an underwear model but he also knows hundreds of ways to hurt you bad.

Here he tries to snap Dunn in half with a well-executed OTK Back-Breaker Slam.  Beautiful.

The overall theme of the match is the brave endurance of lovable Mikey Webb, but both men suffer some rough punishment.  The attacks grow more and more vicious as the two young lions jockey for Alpha Male position.  And they both look fantastic in their colorful little trunks while doing it.

Eventually Dunn lets us know he is through playing around with this uppity young show-off, peeling down his elbow-pad and shouting “Death!  By!  Elbow!!”   The audience pops, eager to watch Dunn drill his elbow into the back of the pretty-boy’s cranium to finish him off.

So cruel looking, it gets me every time.

Sure enough, Dunn spins around 360 and violently pops that elbow right on the button — right on Webb’s jawbone to drop him like a ragdoll.

One can almost regret seeing such cruel pain inflicted on such a good-looking guy.  Almost.

Now that they’ve sorted out who is the dominant Alpha, they can enjoy some male bonding.  They shake hands like men, and then embrace like bros.

Their intimate displays finish off a rough battle with a nice feeling of brotherly love.  Only a Real Man would try to break his opponent one minute, then love on him respectfully the next.
