Why GIFs Rule

Godderz peels off his cloak seductively.

Here is another series of  GIF animations I stumbled on recently.  I am just obsessed with these little clips right now, just as I am obsessed with that shredded stomach and well oiled chest on hard-body Jessie Godderz.

Wow.  I must say, whoever is creating these short clips has incredible taste in pro wrestlers!

All that, and he's gonna suffer for us too!

Jessie trash talks his opponent — Bobby Lashley — which all but guarantees this hunk is about to be bashed.  Keep poking that bear, Jess!

Check him out — did he just flex his right pectoral??  Oh, Lashley is gonna make him pay the price for that cocky display of male arrogance!

Jessie's forehead meets the hard edge of the ring!

The big man viciously spikes Jessie face-first into the ring apron, which leaves him dazed and helpless.  Why is it so enjoyable to see a muscle-man dazed and helpless?

Whatever the reason, they’re on to us.  They know we dig it and they keep delivering hot muscle beat-downs like this week after week to feed our obsession.

Jessie can't handle the rough abuse he is taking right now.

The camera-man blesses us with a close-up of Jessie suffering. Whew, that body from this angle is a work of art!  It’s no wonder the camera-man, the GIF maker, and myself as the blogger can’t resist focusing on this scene of power destroyed.

It’s as if we all agree that Jessie sprawled out helplessly on the mat flexing his muscles in agony is, by definition, a Must See.

A big, beautiful Suplex humbles the hunk.

Why do I find these brief animations more interesting and fun to watch than the match itself?  The full video would provide a more complete story of the fight, with all the in-between action, the commentary, the noise of the crowd, etc.  Yet I find myself more excited by these few seconds of  super-abbreviated GIF animations than the entire match video as a whole.

The German Suplex forces Jessie's legs apart.

I suppose repetition is part of the reason I love these animations.  We get to watch the victim endure the same punishing move again and again, as if it had been implemented multiple times in a row.  I also dig how the creator of this image slowed down the action, delaying the frame rate as Jessie’s legs flop open to reveal his sack.  Little touches like that make these GIFs even better than the original footage.

He is willing to suffer for as long as we're willing to stare at him.

Another reason I enjoy these GIF animations is because they’re a pure distillation of the match — just the hottest, most erotic few moments boiled down and presented to us like a well-edited porno.

We get to focus on Jessie’s suffering alone, with no interruptions that would occur during the “Hope Spots” when he works up the nerve to actually fight back for a minute.

Jessie's stomach is solid, but still no match for this Gut-Buster!

But the main reason I enjoy a sexy animated GIF is the fact that a fellow wrestling fan created it,  revealing for us his favorite and most arousing moments in the match.  This act of sharing lets us know that we’re similar in tastes and appetites.  Looking at his animations, as opposed to watching the original match itself, creates a bond between us, like we’re sharing an unusual hobby or a secret obsession.

Jessie never seems to win, but I love him anyway.
