Vintage Figure 4






Here is a page out of one of those hot old wrestling magazines featuring Figure 4 Leglocks in 3 old school matches:  2 by Jack Brisco and 1 by Buddy Rogers.



































Jack Brisco and his brother Jerry were both Masters of the Figure 4.  Here Jack takes out Sargent Slaughter's knee.
Even big, tough Harley Race is no match for Brisco's famous Figure 4.  Race rips the hair out of his head to avoid screaming out his submission as Brisco pours on the pressure.


Greg Valentine, another Master of the Figure 4, uses his favorite hold to defeat Kerry in the sexy white speedo and boots. I will never forget one hot interview where Valentine said he sometimes likes to lay back and listen to his opponents scream.
Valentine ruined plenty of knees with his patented Figure 4, but Backlund flips the script and shows The Hammer how it feels.



Here is a beefy heel in long tights being forced to submit to the classic Figure 4.




This stud with the buzz haircut is passing out from the pain inflicted by the beefy grappler in the white trunks.  This hold is so vicious, how can any man do this to another man's leg??





Dusty Rhodes wasn't the hottest wrestler, or the most exciting to watch in the ring.  But one hot move he used was the Side Figure 4 Leglock, his beefy frame supported on one elbow as he grinded his crotch and belly on the other man's boot.

Here is Dusty again reclining on one elbow like Jabba the Hut as he locks that white boot over the other man's foot to press down on his straight leg.




Both "Hotstuff" Eddie Gilbert and his long-haired opponent (Jeff Jarrett?) are busted open.  Gilbert reminds the fans that he is #1 as he destroys the rookie's leg.



The caption says Bockwingle is in pain from Brody's Figure 4, but check out their legs.  Actually, Bockwinkle is applying the hold on Brody.  Duh!





Now this victim really knows how to suffer in a Figure 4!  He tosses his head back and howls like his leg is being crushed under a bus or something.



I don't remember Ricky Steamboat using the Figure 4 Leglock very often.  I guess early in his career, he wore sexy speedo trunks and used hot holds like the Figure 4.  He should have stuck with it.


The beefy blond wrestler is desperate to grab the ropes so the hold will be broken.  Check out the intense expression on the opponent's face, just as desperate to maintain his Leglock.





The ref rushes over to ask this tough guy if he is ready to call "Uncle" yet, or does he want to suffer some more first.  The cruel opponent pushes up the heel of his boot for extra leverage.





Here is a hot look at beefy Buddy Rogers, with his fist clenched as he pours on the pressure.  Is his opponent hidden behind his back, or has he snapped the other man's leg off and he is still holding it between his thighs??
