Ernie Ladd's Choking

Ernie Ladd was a big black stud with a thick afro and sexy goatee.  He loved to break the rules by choking his opponents as much as possible, especially the cute white heroes of pro wrestling.  Here Ernie smiles as he works his fingers into this dude's carotid artery.

Another white bitch falls prey to Ladd's superior strength and manhood.  He hoists this white boy up in both hands, strangling the dude while showing off the power in his back and shoulders.
 
Once again, Ladd gets away with this blatant cheating!  He strangles this white jobber by raising him by the throat, the opponent's crotch right in his face.  Why is Ladd allowed to punish other wrestlers illegally like this??

Even early in his career, Ernie Ladd, in his trademark "EL" boots, dominated his shorter opponents by illegally strangling them.  The white fans were outraged by the 6-foot, 9-inch black stud's dirty tactics!

Now Ladd decides to strangle another black guy, to establish himself as the roughest, toughest brother in the area.  His manager distracts the stupid ref.


For years, Ladd wrestled with tape wrapped tightly around his thumb.  Then he'd press or jab his taped thumb into his opponent's throat to stun or gag them.  You can't see the tape in this photo because Ladd's thumb is buried in Mil's neck.
These dramatic photos show Ladd first choking his beefy opponent by pressing the thumb in his throat, then hoisting the dude up with both hands around his neck in his patented Lifted Choke.  

The caption says: "Does Ernie Ladd try to choke opponents and drive his thumb into their throats?  Naaah, Ernie would never do anything like that."
Ladd also called himself "The King" and angered the white fans by strutting around in a fancy crown.  

"Ernie drives his bandaged thumb right into the eye of Ruben Juarez.  The camera does not lie."

Juarez has had enough of Ladd's dirty tactics and relentless poking and jabbing with the taped thumb.  He wraps his bicep around the black daddy's neck and applies some choking of his own.

Ruben Juarez does not keep Ladd under control for long.  Ladd soon takes Juarez down to the mat to finish him off and "tries to tear a hole in Ruben Juarez' throat."  I'd say Ladd is one brother that you really don't want to piss off!

When Ladd wrestled Abdullah, he was up to his old tricks.  First he blatantly tries to choke Abdullah out on the floor, then he slams the time-keeper's bell into the other man's head!  This lunatic is out of control!
This jobber punk is about to feel a taped thumb being jabbed into his eye, or possibly his neck.  It just depends on how bad Ladd wants to punish the kid.

Finally Dick the Bruiser sticks up for the other white grapplers and teaches Ernie Ladd a little respect.  The stocky brawler smother's beefy Ernie Ladd from behind.

Muscle man Billy Graham has also had enough of this brute's cheating, after his face was busted open and gushing blood.  He angrily wraps a strap around Ladd's neck and shows him how it feels to be choked out.
Another beefy animal wants to teach Ernie Ladd to obey the rules as he clamps on an unusual arm choke called the Figure 4 Headlock.
Big Ernie Ladd is brought down to his knees by the brute's relentless strangle around his throat.  It almost looks like Ladd is begging his master for mercy.

When Ladd took on Mondo Guerrero, the violence was soon out of control.  Ladd uses his taped thumb to stun the opponent and bust open his forehead.

Now Ladd totally throws out the rulebook by wrapping a towel around Mondo's neck to choke the fight out of him.  This is totally illegal, where is the ref??

Luckily, Mondo is able to escape and wrap the towel over Ladd's face, smothering and choking him without mercy.  Paybacks are a bitch!

Hopefully, now that Mondo has dealt him a painful blindfolded whipping, Ladd will quit trying to strangle his opponents in nearly every match!
