Back in the brutal days of pro wrestling, men would sometimes square off chained together, forced to fight like dogs.  Someone would always end up with the chain wrapped tight around his throat, as shown on this magazine cover.

 
 

The editor knew what to put on the cover to sell copies of this magazine: a dude getting viciously chain-choked over the ropes by a cruel masked man.  The caption promises "Goriest ever seen."

 
 
 

Yet another magazine cover features graphic chain choking and promises "gory terror" inside.  This bloodied victim is being hung from a chain around his neck, how disgusting!  Why do people want to buy magazines like this, featuring gruesome violence?

  

	Chandler, the dark haired stud, lays Bass across the middle rope, hooks that chain around his neck, and chokes the poor dude.  These images are too brutal, if you can't stand graphic violence, you better leave this web site now!
	Bass, the hairy chested victim, is not even defending himself as Chandler slowly wraps the chain around his neck.  This looks like a scene from some disgusting snuff porno, not a pro wrestling match!
	I don't know what Bass did to piss Chandler off, but the smooth stud has no mercy on his hairy chested victim, continuing to strangle him with that chain.  Bass is starting to cry I think.

 
 

In a "dog collar" match, the chain is hooked to thick leather collars that the brawlers wear around their necks like animals. This guy busted open his opponents forehead, and is hanging him over the ropes! This violence is getting too graphic and brutal, maybe I should stop making this web site!

 
 

	"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert was stupid to agree to a chain match with vicious Terry Funk.  Funk was a brutal maniac, and he loved to get bloody.  Here, he strangles poor Gilbert with the chain.
	Later, both wrestlers are covered in blood, sweat, and tears after whipping, strangling, and slicing each other with that metal chain. The brutality continues as Funk again strangles Hot Stuff with that chain.

 
 

Roddy Piper hooked the chain in Valentine's mouth and is running it back and forth between his teeth like giant metal floss.  Not really a "choke", but still a cruel, vicious use of the chain.

 
 
 
 

Abdullah the Butcher is choking poor Tom Zenk outside the ring.  Another wrester is trying to rescue the handsome young Z-Man, but Abdullah is a bloodthirsty beast, and he refuses to let poor Zenk get a breath.

 
 

	Why was Hercules always allowed to bring a chain to the ring??  He hooked it around poor Steamboat's neck, standing on his back for leverage.  The lame ref counts and orders him to stop, but Hercules ignores him.
Later the big, vicious cheater sits on the smaller man's back and leans backward for leverage.  Poor Steamboat, why is he always getting strangled?  Did he like it or something?

The camera zooms in on the handsome hero's twisted grimace to show us that this is very serious. Steamboat is really in danger, or else he deserves an Academy Award.
As last, the cheater releases our young hero.  He stands over his beaten victim (who may need medical attention) and poses in victory.  This is disgusting, Hercules did not win fair and square!

 
 
 

These two bald cheaters are playing "Tug O War" with a chain wrapped around some jobber's neck, pulling both ends of the chain to strangle the poor dude. Someone needs to rescue this young man before the baldies really hurt him!
