Matt Borne vs Kevin von Erich

Matt Borne is announced as the "very unpredictable Matt Borne" so the fans at home are sure to know he is a heel, cheater and villain.
Kevin Von Erich now enters the ring, the ultimate baby-face, eagerly signing autographs for his fans.  What a friendly young man... (Is this boy-scout for real??)

Kevin is announced as "High-flyer Kevin Von Erich" so even the very slow fans will be able to figure out he is playing the eager good guy and hero.  You can also tell by the screaming and cheering from the audience.

Meanwhile the ref is slowly running his hands over Borne's trunks and boots, carefully checking his thick body for possible foreign objects.  Way to be extra thorough, ref!

The fans are beginning to wonder why the ref is carefully scanning Borne's thick chest.  You never know, he might have a weapon concealed in his chest hair!
The arena erupts in screams as the young "Golden Warrior" peels off his ring jacket to expose his muscular swimmer's build.  The Texas fans worship their young hero like a god.

Check out the young stud poised on the bottom rope, ready to lock up.  Here is how one on-line article described a night at the Sportatorium to watch Kevin:

"It was Von Erich beefcake that they came to see. Kevin was 26, the barefooted acrobat with a comic book superhero's body, who did things in the ring no one had ever seen. He could fly off a turnbuckle, land with his legs in a scissors hold around an opponent's waist, and hold himself there, his body parallel to the ground. He was like a buck knife thrown and sticking in a tree."

For some reason, it's hottest when the wrestlers wear matching gear.  Both Kevin and Matt wore tight red trunks for this grudge match!

As Kevin paces around the ring like a prize bull on display, the camera zooms in for a closer look at his hard little body.  Kevin strikes a cocky pose for his fans.
Kevin has decided to wrestle barefoot, which many fans seem to really get off on.  The young buck looks so vulnerable wearing just a speedo, compared to big Matt Borne with his massive powerful body and his tall leather boots.

Matt Borne weighs 260.  Kevin was announced as 242, but he's lucky if he's more than a biscuit over 200.  Borne uses his superior mass to force the smaller opponent into the corner to be molested.

The ref asks for a clean break from the beast in the tight red trunks.  This big cheater never follows the rules, which is why the fans love to hate him.

Finally the ref is able to pull apart the athletic young hard-body and the sadistic, masculine veteran.  They prepare to lock up again.

Here is how one on-line biography describes young Kevin Von Erich:

"Kevin Von Erich was the first Adkisson boy to turn pro. High flying, handsome, athletic and very talented, he entered the sport in 1976 and quickly became one of the sports' brightest young stars, defeating men with years more experience than him... True, Kevin had somewhat of an advantage over new wrestlers, in that he grew up with Fritz, a former NWA President and top promoter, as his father.  Still, the dare devil-ish Kevin's natural talent was obvious from the beginning, and it helped carry him to staggering heights within months of his debut."

The young lion foolishly agrees to a test of strength with the old bull.  Borne clearly has the weight advantage, and the masculinity advantage, and he's a devious cheater.  Be careful, Kevin!!

Kevin flexes all the muscles in his body, even his famous thigh muscles which he's used to defeat many opponents.  But this isn't enough to over-power big Matt Borne!

Borne pulls the young jock in closer so he can rub up against that hard body, chest to chest.  Kevin presses his cheek against the hairy man's beard.  If you watch Matt Borne's matches carefully, there is always plenty of body contact and friction and groping.

Wow, I think Kevin is gaining the upper hand in this Test of Strength!  The older man is weakening, his thick body beginning to sag under Kevin's relentless pressure!

But Borne is a dirty cheater!  He drives his knee into the rookie's stomach, taking advantage of the poor kid.  Why can't this maniac give his young opponent a fair shake??

Again Borne traps his victim on the ropes and the ref calls for a clean break.  This time the villain drives a fist into Kevin's exposed abs, and the young Texan is gasping for air.

Before Kevin can recover, the big man punches his face, chokes him on the top rope, and bitch slaps him.   The fans jump to their feet so they don't miss a moment of the young stud's violent beating!

Borne tries for an interesting Cradle Pin on the barefoot young man in the red speedo.  Kevin is too close to the ropes, so the ref breaks the hold.

Kevin lies helpless on the mat, looking like young Tarzan caught in a net.  Borne jumps high in the air to stomp down on his face.

The camera man captures the brutality of Borne tap-dancing on Kevin's face.  Kevin doesn't seem to like the taste of Borne's boot-sole.

Again Borne traps the young lion in the corner, where he can torture and molest his hard body.  This is out of control, young Kevin is being used as a punching bag!

Here is how a website describes Maniac Matt Borne:

"The word excessive follows Matt Borne around just as the chain around his neck does; with every chair shot, every frightened, wide-eyed scream from the front row, and every drop of blood that oozes from his hulking frame. There is a hush of respect that trails him everywhere he goes – from the moment he walks into an arena to the moment he steps out of the ring. He is a crazy man. He is a hardcore wrestler. He is a tactician. He is fearless. He is angry. He is traumatized."

Do you remember the fan with the long hair who always sat in the front row at the Dallas Sportatorium and cheered for the Von Erichs?  Here he is looking worried about poor helpless Kevin.

I think that fan in the front row wants to be a wrestler.  It looks like he's wearing tight white trunks under his "U.S.A" belly shirt.  Borne teases him for being horny for the Von Erichs.
The Maniac rolls his barefoot boy-toy up for a humiliating pin.  Using his powerful legs, Kevin is able to push Borne's ass out of his face before the ref counts to three.

Borne wraps his thick arms around Kevin's head, presses his forearm into the young man's cheek, and shakes him around to scramble his brains.

Matt and Kevin give the fans exactly what they paid to see.  Matt relentlessly tries to smother his young victim, while Kevin struggles for air, slowly losing energy as the stronger man over-powers him.

The Von Erich boys never surrender in the ring, not while their fans are behind them, cheering and clapping.  Kevin struggles to his feet and escapes Borne's embrace.

Young Kevin suddenly springs to life, body-slamming the big cheater, then driving an elbow into his face.

The fans get a great view of Kevin's tight red speedo as he tries to pin the big hairy bear.  Matt Borne is able to kick out.

This kid is a house afire!  He jumps on Borne's shoulders and victory-rolls him into a pinning position, but Borne again escapes before the three count.
Von Erich takes some revenge on the hairy brute, spiking his face into the corner buckle.

Borne is dazed after head-butting the turnbuckle.  He stumbles around the ring like a drunk.

Check out the physiques on these two studs in red trunks:  the ripped, athletic hard-body vs. the thick, powerful man-beast.  It's like David vs Goliath.

Kevin is determined to finish the big man off.  He grips his hair like an executioner to expose his neck, then leaps up and slams his elbow into the back of Borne's head.  It's like Kevin wants to de-capitate his opponent!

The jungle boy leaps onto the top ropes like Tarzan.  The camera shows us his long, powerful legs and he prepares to leap down on Borne.

Kevin pounces on his bearded opponent and slaps on the dreaded Von Erich Iron Claw! He's trying to crush Borne's skull like an egg in his powerful grip.

The Iron Claw is unbeatable!  Borne is growing weak under Kevin's relentless squeeze.

Kevin looks like Tarzan wrestling a lion into submission.  Borne drops to the mat, exhausted and beaten, as Kevin mounts him and continues the dreaded Iron Claw.

Suddenly Borne's partner, Buzz Sawyer, storms into the ring and throws Kevin off the helpless man.  Hey, he doesn't belong in the ring!

Sawyer begins kicking the barefoot boy with his tall furry boots, trying to stomp a mud-hole in his hard body.  The ref calls for the bell, this is illegal!

The bullies yank Kevin around by the hair, kicking and kneeing him in the face.  The fans are outraged that this is happening to their young hero!

The Von Erich wanna-be wearing the USA shirt and white speedo is totally aghast, watching in horror as Kevin takes a painful beating from the two fat dudes.

The kicking and stomping continues despite the ringing bell. This is one of the longest post match beat-downs ever.  Where are Kevin's brothers?  Why doesn't his father come out and stop this brutality?

The ref feels Borne's hairy chest, trying to restrain him.  Meanwhile Kevin's biggest fan in the front row looks about ready to jump into the ring and rescue his lover-boy.

Buzz picks up Kevin like a sack of rice and the two brutes prepare to break his shoulder.

The ref pleads for mercy and runs his hand up and down Matt Borne's back.  Ignoring the ref's complaints, the cheaters prepare Kevin for the 2 against 1 Shoulder Breaker.

Borne drops to one knee so Sawyer can drive Kevin's shoulder into his knee to break it.  Kevin is finished!

The super-fan has a great view as Borne holds down Kevin's legs, so Buzz Sawyer can continue to punish him.  Buzz can't help but smile.
Clutching his injured shoulder, Kevin is unable to escape Borne's embrace.  What are these two beefy animals going to do to the poor kid now??

This is great!  Sawyer is going to use his Super-fly Splash to crush the helpless Von Erich!

(Meanwhile, a security guard has stood in front of the super-fan to keep him in his seat.)

The angry fans are screaming at Kevin to get up before Sawyer splashes on him, but Borne is still pinning him to the mat.  This is horrible!

Borne stands on the top rope like a cliff diver preparing to soar into the air.  What would you do if you saw that thick fireplug body pouncing down on you from above?

Like a super-hero, Sawyer flies off the ropes and crashes his fat body down on young Kevin.  He could cripple the poor kid!

CRUNCH!! Kevin is crushed and beaten, twitching like a deer that's been shot, run over, electrocuted, and boiled alive.  The fans are about ready to riot.

Borne begins mauling Kevin, biting his neck like a hungry wolf.  The old security guard does nothing to stop this crime, and the fan in the front row begins to cry.

These fat beasts are having the time of their life, laughing and celebrating over the agony they've inflicted on the popular baby face.

Kevin meanwhile is humiliated and injured.  He peels himself off the mat, wondering why none of his brothers came to his rescue.

Kevin didn't usually submit to humiliating whippings like this, he didn't seem to enjoy jobbing.  But today he did a great job, and the fans loved seeing the Golden Warrior getting stomped and splashed by two relentless killers.
