Stand-Up Guys

The standing Surfboard gives the fans a better view of the victim's agony, and makes the man in control look more dominant.  Tony Atlas spreads his legs wide apart as he suffers in Bockwinkle's Surfboard.

Here is Dino Bravo, one of the most handsome wrestlers from the 1970's, working over one of those flamboyant blond sissies that were common in the Golden Age of rasslin.
Here is a Mexican stud making his chubby masked opponent suffer in a Standing Surfboard.  The caption says something like:

"A great fight that featured the Beautiful Greek and the Handsome Sergio.  Here is the Hawk being punished."

This match is all about the suffering inflicted on the cute young man in the fancy cowboy boots.  I've only seen this one photo, but I'll bet the kid's been beaten down without mercy during the entire match.

Even back in the old days, the Rasslers knew how to sell the erotic agony of their holds.  Check out Valiant's grimace of intense pain as Strongbow squeezes his eyes shut and pulls with all his strength.  These studs deserve Academy Awards for their performance!

The Standing Surfboard was often used for one wrestler to demonstrate his physical domination over another.  Billy Jack was known for his power, but here we see him unable to out-muscle Rick Rude, so this teaches the fans that Rude is the more powerful stud.

Medium-sized wrestlers like Norman Smiley gain greater respect from the fans by showing their power over a big muscle man like Mike Tolbert.  It's like when a prisoner beats down the biggest dude in the cell block, so all the other prisoners fear him.

This cartoon must come from England because the Brits use "pinch"  as a slang term for "steal."  Whoever drew the picture knew that the fans like to see a bald brute torturing a handsome pretty boy on his knees.
Wrestling outside allows this stud in white gear to work on his tan while working over his wimpy opponent.  He should wear a speedo instead of pants so his legs get some sun too!

This guy seems to be asking for permission to pull back the cute kid's arms.  When you're in a pro wrestling ring with a handsome jobber like that, DON'T ask for permission, just hurt the kid!

The ripped stud in purple tights adds a knee to the back of his victim's neck for more leverage. The extra little touches like that can really make a hold look sexier, and a wrestling match seem more exciting for the fans.

Wow, this brat really degrades his masked opponent, driving his foot into the back of the man's neck!  He sure knows how to go the extra mile when applying the Surfboard!
Brett Barnes, on his knees in a big blond dude's Surfboard, has a knack for arching his body into just the right position to look sexy and in pain at the same time.

Here is a closer view of those black trunks.  The good jobbers just know how to pose for the fans in just the right way, it's hard to describe but I think you know what I mean.

The ref leans in for a closer look and pushes the victim's knee out of his way.  I think he's trying to check out the dude's big package stuffed into those shiny blue trunks.

Great physique on the shirtless stud in tights.  Meanwhile his cute opponent really sells the pain even though the Surfboard is not locked on very tightly.
The Standing Surfboard is also a great way to show off a muscle-man's physique.  Here the trapped man flexes every muscle in his rock-hard body, straining against the other man's strength, which really puts his muscles on display.

The man in control can also show off his body using the Standing Surfboard.  This bald brother gives us a nice view of his six-pack abs and bulging satin trunks as he tries to rip the other brother's arms out of their sockets.

The attacker has a calm smile on his face, like he could stand in this position all day long, with one knee braced on the other man's shoulder.  The victim, meanwhile, seems to be in the worst pain of his life.

It really must be humiliating for the victims, when they go back and watch their matches, to see the goofy faces they make when locked in a painful hold.  I wonder if the stronger wrestlers make fun of their expressions of agony, saying "OH!  AH!  Don't hurt me Sir" while making a silly face.

Yet another cute victim shows us his "orgasm face", crying like a bitch on his knees as the stronger man stands behind him and yanks both his arms back.  You gotta love the Standing Surfboard for the agony it produces in the victims.
Chris Jericho likes to apply the Surfboard, I guess because he knows that it makes him look dominant and powerful over the other man.  Here he has some blond jobber on his knees begging for mercy.

This masked man -- Jushin Liger -- was feared and respected in Japan.  But when he came to the US, he jobbed to every wrestler around.  Even Jericho is able to dominate poor Liger, forcing him down to his knees with a foot planted between his shoulder blades.
